Northern Parallels 11th release comes from Miami Florida's, Sto_ik. Static Motion EP focuses on forward thinking, hypnotic grooves for the mind and body that fits in seamlessly for peak hour to late night dance floors. On remix duty is San Fransisco's Max Gardner and returning to the label is Malta's Øberøn. Both providing strong and diverse interpretations.

Forward Motion lives up to its name as a rumbling bass gets swept up by competing synth lines while affected vocals weave in and out of the mix. More synths and drums enter which propels the momentum. A break cools the mood briefly before the cavernous breaks signals a return to the racing beat.

Max Gardner provides an aggressive take on Static Encounter. Where the original has a robotic bounce that ebbs and flows, this remix is focused on moving ahead at breakneck speed. There's no looking back as this is no nonsense techno.

Øberøn turns in a percussive remix which turns the bass into a pummeling jackhammer. Cymbals and claps pop in and out to vary the rhythm. Some of the original elements get twisted into an organic buzzing groove that gets set off by a skittering hi hats.
